January has been a busy month for me as far as reading goes. I don’t often get so much time to read so sometimes I go a whole month without posting. But this month I managed to finish four novels, two audio books, one short story and a graphic novel. Not sure if I will be able to find as much time to read over the coming weeks as I have done, but I’m sure as hell going to try.
Novels
Bloody Rose (The Band book 2) by Nicholas Eames
The Straight Razor Cure (Low Town #1) by Daniel Polansky
Assassin’s Creed: Forsaken by Oliver Bowden
Hell Divers By Nicholas Sansbury Smith
Audio Books
Graphic Novel
Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale
Short Story
The House That Evil Made by Sarah Northwood
I’ve not read anything by Daniel Polansky, but I feel like its a name that I keep hearing. I might have to check him out.

He is a great author. I just finished reading, and will be posting a review of, his novella ‘The Builders’ which is about animals going to war with each other. Drastically different from the book in this pist but equally as enjoyable.

Fortunately, if you avoid Renaissance, you can enjoy them without knowing the games. Black Flag was fantastic as a historical fiction novel. As was Forsaken which follows it on.
