Well, March 2020 certainly took somewhat of a nosedive as far as just straight up normality went. We’ve gone from being able to enjoy a walk in public to being able to enjoy a walk in public until someone comes close. Then we panic, leap 2 meters a way, nod, wish them a good morning and carry on our day.
God bless social distancing and the pandemic in general 😦
The one upside to being forced to stay indoors except for the most essential of times is that I get more time to read, work on my blog and write my novel. So, fingers crossed I can excel at all three of those. I managed to get through four physical books and three audio books for March. I am expecting that number to increase during this whole quarantine scenario.

(Ignore the whole pexels.com thing … I swiped it from the free photo library and it seems hell-bent on giving itself credit haha)
Fingers crossed for many more book covers gracing my April wrap-up. Lord knows I have nothing but time on my hands now.
Stay safe and I look forward to your novel so get it done :))
All the best, Puma

Thank you, you’re very kind. I’ve asked a few people to read the opening chapter to see if they think it has that ‘wow-factor’. Fingers crossed they cone back with good feedback.
Hope you’re staying safe and well 🙂

Good luck with your novel, Aaron! I hope you finish it soon and share with us 😄
I was that close to getting Echo Cycle – and then bang! Everything closed down in our level 4 lockdown… Well, it’s not going to run away, I’m going to read it at some point 😉

Poor Echo Cycle! Just waiting to be read.
What does lvl 4 lockdown entail?
I’m certainly hoping to finish it soon. My barbarian’s life story needs to be told 😂 I’ve sent my first chapter out to a few beta readers. Fingers crossed they say its a good read 🙂

Basically everything is closed except essential services which had been defined rather narrowly up to this point as grocery stores and pharmacies 😉.
Fingers crossed for your novel! 🙂

Certainly seems like a good excuse. I’ve only ever written one poem. I posted it on here as I was fairly happy with it. I don’t have the skill to keep poetry up, though. So that one poem will be my lot 🙈
Do you write rhyming or non-rhyming? I’ve only ever managed to understand rhyming.

Ps
Thanks! I blasted out 6,000 words yesterday. Fingers crossed I can finish it, edit it and send it out to literary agents before I have to go back to work.

Just so you know, you can edit the pictures to get rid of that annoying text by pexels. I do that whenever I use one of the free pix. At first I didn’t think it would bother me, but after seeing it in one of my posts, I couldn’t stand it and just got rid of it everytime.
Best of luck with your book…

You can? Excellent! I’ll certainly look into it next time I’m on my laptop.
Thank you! At the rate I’m churning the words out I expect to have finished, edited and started sending out to literary agents by the end of the month. Let the standard form rejections commence.

The text is in the “captions” option.

Looks like a pretty solid month of reading nonetheless! I do hope you’ll still be able to make the most of April despite the gravity of the epidemic, Aaron! Take care and stay safe, sir.
