August 2021 Wrap-Up

As I fully expected, my reading time has taken a big hit so, out of the six titles I managed this month, four were audio books. With my time not being much freer going forward … and my eyeing up a couple of large books, it’ll no doubt be much the same going forward.

I seem to be making up for the good books I found at the start of the year as well … the last two or three months I keep finding some real stinkers. Hopefully everyone else is having a better time of things.

    1. Yea, we have far less staff so I’m doing a lot more. Getting home feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck. My body is getting used to it now so I’m hoping page count will be on the up.

Ah, well at least I seem to be in fine slump company

      1. And here I hoped for a heated discussion πŸ˜‰ I see where you’re coming from, though: I think Dune makes much more impact when read early at the beginning of one’s SF adventure; then it’s fresh and new and utterly original, as it was at the time of writing. There wouldn’t be Expanse without Dune πŸ˜‰
Anyway, if you’d be interested, here’s the link to my review:
